We accept well-behaved pets! 🙂 🙂 🙂 PLEASE NOTE CHANGES IN PET FEE!!! 

There’s $60 fee  PER NIGHT PER PET;

– with NO CAP between Memorial Day weekend and Labor Day weekend;

– cap is $150 for reservations staying before Memorial Day weekend and after Labor day weekend.

A pet must be declared before or at Check-In.

We aren’t so much concerned about the size and breed of the dogs, but mostly about their behavior. We want all guests to enjoy their stay, so please be respectful. No excessive barking.   We understand dogs bark, but there’s a difference between 2 minutes and 2 hours of barking. Do not leave unattended in the room if they will be a nuisance. This is a hotel, not a kennel.
If you plan to spend the whole day at the beach, it is probably better to plan appropriate accomodation for your dog.
The Katie Rule: If your dog is aggressive, disobedient, or barks too much, SIMPLY DO NOT BRING THEM here, because you will be asked to leave. If we have too many complaints, we will discontinue allowing pets.

The Coral Sands Motel will not be held responsible for any injury caused by your pet to any guest or motel staff member and said damage or injury will be the SOLE RESPONSIBILITY of the pet owner.

City rules: No dogs on the Boardwalk. Dogs are allowed on the beach only between Oct 1st and April 30th. There are multiple parks in the area. Pooper Scooper law in effect! 🙂

A) For Standard Reservations: 

One night deposit is required at booking. Your credit card will charged for one night’s stay at the time of reservation.

Total remaining balance for a reservation is due upon arrival (credit card or cash).

You can also pay your deposit by check if the reservation is made at least 2 weeks prior to the arrival date (so you have enough time to mail the check and we have enough time to cash it before your arrival).

If you cancel 14 or more days prior to arrival date, you will get full refund, less $30 cancellation fee.

If cancelled less than 14 days prior to arrival, you will be charged the first night’s stay.

No Refunds after check-in for any reason.

No refund for No-Show-No Call

B) For Packages and Deals
All packages and  deals are paid for in full on the day reservation is made unless otherwise specified

3,4,5-day mid-week packages are non-refundable.

C) For the weekly rental properties: *50% deposit due at booking. The balance has to be paid 30 days before check-in date.
If you cancel less than 30 days before the check-in date, no refund will be issued.
If you cancel more than 30 days before the check-in date, you will be charged $200 cancellation fee.

Reservation Minimum
Depending on the dates of your reservation there might be 2, 3 or 4 night minimum stay required.

Payment Types Accepted
• We accept the major credit cards: Visa / MasterCard / American Express / Discover. We need a credit card for the reservation.
• Check (if reservation is made 2 months ahead of arrival)
• Cash.


There is a 6.625% sales tax and a 5% hospitality tax = 11.625%

FOR THE HOTEL: Check in starts at 3pm. Check out is at 11am. We would love to check you in early, please call us and we will try to accomodate that!

FOR OUR WEEKLY RENTALS: Check-in starts at 3pm, Check-out is by 10am.

You can check in any time after 3pm. We kindly ask you to just please give us the heads up if you will be arriving later than 8pm. Thank you!

Early Departures
No refunds available for early departures, departures due to inclement weather, family emergencies or failures in service of local utility providers (power, internet, television, phone, water and sewage).


Most rooms are based on a double occupancy.
The 3rd subsequent person/s will be charge $15 per person per day. ALL children 12 and under stay free with a paying adult.
Room rates are per room, per night.
Most rooms are for a maximum occupancy of 4 persons.

All guests must be registered at check-in. No unregistered visitors allowed.

Please note: Due to constricted space in The Coral Sands Motel parking lot, all large vehicles such as: SUV’s & Pick-up trucks will have to park in Charlie Lot on Atlantic Ave. Charlie lot is less than 100 feet away and is a free space Coral Sands provides to our customers.
There is one parking space per one reservation.

Smoking – All rooms are non-smoking. There will be a FINE if you smoke in the room. ABSOLUTELY NO MARIJUANA SMOKING ON THE PREMISES!!!

Damage Policy
All guests will be held 100% responsible for all damages done to the property.

Beach Tags

Beach Tags are required for all beachgoers ages 12 and older and are in effect from the first weekend in June through Labor Day each year.. Seasonal ($35), Weekly ($20) and daily ($10) tags are available for purchase on the beach and other locations (call the Visitor’s center for more info 1-800-BEACHNJ).

As a courtesy, The Coral Sands Motel provides 2 Beach Tags per room (!) with a minimum stay of two nights. A Refundable $35 CASH deposit is required for each tag.


Accessible rooms
The Coral Sands Motel does not have fully handicap accessible rooms. We do have 6 rooms on the first floor and you could request one if it’s available. Please do so ahead of time. All 1st floor rooms have one step to get in the room and one step to get in the shower. No elevator service. Feel free to call if you have more questions about accommodating.

Zero Tolerance Policy
BE RESPECTFUL OF OTHERS! Service and Accommodations will be refused to or revoked without refund from any person who: is rude to its staff or guess of any sort, acts in an obviously intoxicated or disorderly manner while on motel property. Shows any signs of possible drug activity, Maliciously destroys or threatens to destroy any motel property; causes or threatens to cause a public disturbance. Refuses to or is unable to pay for the accommodations or services at time of check-in. Negligently or intentionally causes damage to the motel, furniture or furnishings within the motel, and shall be liable for any and all damaged sustained by management, including the motel’s loss of revenue resulting from the inability to rent or lease rooms while said damage is being repaired.
